How to paint the Darkelf Rider of Freebooter Miniatures

Part 9

Using the wash technique I was quite satisfied for most of the skin but I wanted to define the back and the head of the lizard much better. Therefore I used lighter grey tones to work out the highlights just in the way I described above by painting the darkelf.

The head of the lizard was highlighted again in four steps to set it apart from the rest of the body:
