Barbarian Warrior
I painted this little barbarian for Masquerade Miniaturen. Stefan Niehues sculpted the 28mm miniature and gave him a very interesting posture and face, both reminding me of Japanese anime/manga style. I wanted to follow the lead and painted the miniature with an exaggerated NMM effect which might not be realistic but enhances the comic feeling of the miniature (and looks cool by the way). I am currently painting some more miniatures for Masquerade Miniaturen so look out for it. Diesen kleinen Barbaren bemalte ich für Masquerade Miniaturen. Stefan Niehues hat die 28mm Figur modelliert und ihr eine sehr interessante Pose und Gesicht verpasst, beides erinnerte mich sofort an japanische Anime/Mangas. Um dieser Vorgabe zu folgen habe ich der Miniatur einen schön übertriebenen NMM Effekt verpasst, welcher warscheinlich unrealistisch aussieht, dafür aber das comichafte der Figur weiter hervorhebt (und außerdem sehr cool aussieht). Zur Zeit arbeite ich gerade an weiteren Figuren für Masquerade.
